I'm a huge metalhead... but that being said, I've been called an elitist many times in the past. I can't help it, but there are just things that should not be called metal.

I actually agree with you, i dont know how bands like "Attack! Attack!" are metal... and sometimes i doubt slipknot....

For those that are, though... A lot of your bands were good, but then stopped being good. Metallica, In Flames, Children of Bodom...
Megadeth is absolutely incredilble. One of the best bands ever.

Oh yeah Yilduz knows Amon Amarth, swedish metal.
X, you know that parkway drive is just for the hardcore kids now, who go round the mosh pit kicking and spinning there arms cause apparently it is cool to kick people in the face will the band is playing.

Oh yeh i forgot to mention dark tranquility, arch enemy (that girl can scream) and amon amarth.
parkway drive still sound great to me, i dont care who else listens to them and thats what i love about metal.
oh and btw, megadeth > metallica and i agree that the new in flames sux ballz, and i hated st anger however the new album wasnt terrible, it was no old metallica though. btw you should check out some of the bands i mentioned which u dont kno. like be'lakor are some amazing melodeath and archons is damn good. aparently their drummer has a 270 bpm endurance double kick speed.
oh btw imo slipknot arent metal. just throwing it out there.

ridiculous bpm isn't what makes a drummer great, or even good for that matter.
You should listen to some of Arch Enemies older stuff, before Angela Gossow. She is good, but their sound was better before her, I think.
As far as Slipknot goes, it's not an opinion. They're not metal, period. Music genres aren't opinion.

I dont listen to metal much or really at all but Im into some symphonic metal (which i know isnt real metal you dont have to tell me ) and screamo (not metal either).
