Best tut out there.

Just change the Opacity % on the layer with the lines.

Yeah. It does look good. Scanlines are something to use sparingly though.

Yes you need to be careful using scan lines. Although they can make a design look nice, you also need to limit the amount you do use them before it begins taking away from a design instead of giving to it.
