Pink hell yeah lol! Nah, how about teal (greens) and purple - not as girly and if you get the right shades, can look awesome. Not too girly, rather neutral but a drastic difference to V2, or just as a second skin

Thank you for the suggestion Gem. We have been talking about the colours we should use lately and couldn't decide. Off course we can decide what colours would look good and what wouldn't but it is nice to know what colours you all would like as well. Besides X wont take my idea of pink anyway, yet he still added it to this post

Diplomatic way - Narrow down a selection of colours or schemes, make a poll and see what the members say You don't necessarily have to use the winning vote but it may help finalise a colour scheme in someway. By eliminating the least liked colours.

Ummm, I'm not too sure. I mean, I know it could be done well - but I've seen quite a few forums that specialise in coding and graphics and then tend to go for the futuristic/alien type scheme of black and green. Basically copying SoCal. I'm sure X and Jye could come up with something completely different using green as a theme, but I'd like to see a more unusual scheme put together. Colour wise and theme wise. Coding/Graphics doesn't necessarily mean hi tech and futuristic. Either way, this is one of the best, cleanest forums around and I'm excited to see what they are doing next

Well so far me and Jye have worked out we like this dark grey look, however we need to make it lighter, more varied and with a colour other than blue. Those were the ones we were tossing up, I rather like pink but green flmae looks cool...
did i just give away something? oh my.

Green flame? Yep you just gave a little something away lol. You could always incorporate some pink highlights somewhere, whether as a shadow on menu buttons/icons, in the smileys etc...just little flashes to add some contrast? And you can get some shades of pink which aren't very bright and girly like:- #CD3278 #CD6889 #DE85B1 I think green with sparks of pink could work they are colours that you find in nature all the time Or if you mean add green to the existing skin so greys/blues and greens then that could work, but then pink would be too much lol.

In that case, greens with hints of pink could work, it would be different at least

Use Kuler on Photoshop CS4 (Window >> Extensions >> Kuler) or Google it if you don't have CS4.
