In the mean time, has anyone ever tried to use Photoshop Elements to design -- or do anything productive, for that matter?

Nope but i hear there are a few tuts. I believe its a watered down version of photoshop yes?

I have terragen... but ive never ever used it. maybe i should read up on some tuts for it. Its easy to use if you learn how to use it!

Yeah, way watered down. I haven't used it for a while, but the one thing that sticks out the worst is how there's no layer effects. I think there's a style you can apply that does a white outer glow, but only white. P:

The difference between a trot and a gallop is simple. A trot is a quickened pace of speed, similar to walking. A gallop is one of the fastest ways an animal can move, using different leg motions.
Camels can gallop, but only it occurs rarely.

Elements quite bad, in my opinion, compared to other photoshop versions. I had to use it at school in my graphic design classes untill i started taking my laptop in with Cs2 on it. But it is not as powerful, in terms of what you can do with it, compared to other versions and even some of the other free programs. You can still create many good looking graphics through it though, mainly through photo editing.
