So, as my display name suggests I am Bobby. I'm twenty years old and work as a Shift Leader (part management, part real work... I hate management positions) at Melanson Co., a large contracting company in the New England area. I found my way here through somebody's signature (Xcessive perhaps?) at ProBoards Support. Some background behind me: I've been doing web development for roughly ten years now, the past five or six of which have been with PHP as my primary resource. Course the past three years of that has been riddled with various hiatuses for different reasons. These days I am focusing on systems development (my focus being C++ and the Qt framework). I intend to return to school this fall and pursue a degree in Software Engineering. The other details of my life are unimportant. Nobody needs to hear about things such as how I broke my wrist over a year ago by tripping over a speed bump drunk.

Hey Bobby! Long time no see... Ummm yeah.... that wrist.. you never told us you were drunk.... you said it was at work Pretty sure you're thinking about the reason I eventually went to the ER? An accident at work left me needing stitches. I would like to know more about this wrist incident Welcome to Ts. Hope you like it here Hardly anything to say about it, haha. Drunken night with some coworkers, I went from the better half of a 30 rack to a fifth of Jose Gold. Needless to say I was blitzed, it was night time, and that speed bump put up one hell of a fight. Split a bone in my wrist right in half and then I never bothered going to the doctor's office for about six weeks (and not by choice, needed those stitches from work as I mentioned above). By then I had worn a hole in the bone and needed surgery to correct it. They removed bone from my arm, filled in the hole, and drove a screw through that bone to hold it together. I imagine I set off metal detectors now. Saying that makes me realize I haven't gone through one in the past year... I need to do that to see if it does set the alarm off, haha.

Just go to an airport and see what happens. lol
Well, you seem to have a lot of coding experience so that should be nice as far as getting the coding section running. I've been making websites for about the same amount of time you have but only got into PHP a number of months ago, so I imagine there are some things I can learn from you.
I look forward to seeing you around.

Wow. I always wished my braces would set off metal detectors but the orthodontists were too smart. >.< Welcome to tS!

wrist injury at work? sounds good enough. Welcome to TS lmao wonder what u were doing lmao ... What? I never injured my wrist at work, I injured my wrist while partying with coworkers. The only semi-serious injury I've ever had at work was the cut to my upper arm which required stitches (and is the only reason I ever had my wrist x-rayed).
