So i got my human biology test back today, i was expecting somewhere in the vicinity of 95-100%. I got 77.5% Top mark being 88.5%. Turned out the marks were added up wrong and i actually got 86%. But that's still horrendously bad. I lost 5 marks on a question in which my answer is deemed correct on a TEE paper, and another 3 because the marker couldnt read my writing (WTF?!), im taking this up with the education council because my mark should have been 97% XD The teacher who marked it also admitted to marking me harshly to "cut me down to size".

Can't handle the truth eh I had a similar problem in a major exam for English. I was marked down from 95% to 86% because there was 2 questions that the maker could not correctly read. Spoke to the school administration and had it re-done. I agree with taking it up with the education council. That really sucks.

Well, the only problem with taking it up with administration is you'll likely have a target on your back for the rest of the school term. Good luck, though.

They're not allowed to mark one person harshly and another not. Take it up immediately.

You guys don't use Scantrons and have computers grade your tests? xD I thought everyone did that. Guess not, eh?
Anyway, as everyone else prior to myself has said, take it up immediately. That's completely ridiculous.

I'd take it up, thats pretty bad tbh, but over here in England mostly everything is machine based marking. In my ICT gcse i lost 10% because i wrote outside the lines and the machine couldn't detect outside the lines -.-

Oh, SHI-
Naw, they grade our tests. Like, the bubble ones. They send the essays into the state to be graded by unbiased individuals whom apparently do such a thing for a living... Not an exciting job, if you ask me. =p
Does your school just have the teachers grade them, X?

Don't they have machines that read the results? But only in #2 pencils right?

No she is correct. There are a few tests that are marked by a machine. They make you use a certain type of pencil and you have to use block letters so that the machine can read it.
But that doesn't apply to tests and exams like this.

Yup all our tests are school assesed.
That sucks. Especially when you get a teacher like in your case. ]:
